It was a lovely summer evening on 23rd June, perfect for a concert of English choral music. The boys and gentlemen of Worcester College Choir gave a short recital in St Mary’s church Garsington. The programme including old favourites like Rutter’s The Lord bless you and keep you and Elgar’s Ave verum as well as Hurford’s Litany to the Holy Spirit and The Call by Vaughan Williams. We not only enjoyed the full choir singing but also had and opportunity to his the trebles on their own and two organ pieces. The boys were in good voice, having been treated to tea and cakes beforehand. Pimms was served before the concert and everyone enjoyed the summer sunshine and views across to the Wittenham Clumps. The concert raised £358. Thank you to all who helped organise it and on the evening.
