In March, my archeology club at Wheatley Park went to Shotover to do some digging. We went in the afternoon and took a mini bus up there. When we got there we met the person who was going to take us to the place she had found the artefacts. We had to go over three fields to get there. When we got to the field all we had to do was just look on the surface because that was the easiest way to find things without disturbing the crops. We found so many Roman artefacts like rims of pots and bottoms of pestle mortars. Then it started raining so we decided to go back to school. In the next meeting we were cleaning the artefacts and seeing what they actually were.
